What is the H-2B Visa Program?

The H-2B visa nonimmigrant program permits employers to hire foreign workers to come to the United States and perform temporary nonagricultural services, or labor in positions that would otherwise go unfilled.

Employers must be labor certified by their State Labor Department and the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. They must demonstrate that they have either a one-time, seasonal, peak-load or intermittent basis and can only hire H-2B workers if qualified U.S, workers are not available to do the job.

What happens after I register online and submit my application?

After registration, your application and resume will be reviewed and if you are qualified for any potential H-2B jobs you will be placed in our pre-screened pool of candidates. When jobs become available that matches your experience you will be contacted

The resume is the first thing a Hiring Manager wants to see, so if you do not submit a current resume you will not be considered.

How do I apply to go on the H-2B Program?

Start by visiting our website, select “Register” on the menu bar, from the drop down menu choose “US Employment” and complete the Application Form. Please be sure to submit a copy of your resume. Once we have positions available you will be contacted

e-JAM Does Not Charge Applicants For H-2B Jobs

The jobs under the H-2B Visa Program go very fast and are generally not listed on our website.  Only registered jobseekers are notified of available H-2B positions.

Most businesses file their requests for workers with the U.S. government 120 days prior to the job start date. Employers begin their recruitment process and start looking at resumes four to five months before the season begins. We encourage all interested applicants to register and upload their resume in order to be pre-screened and placed in a pool of qualified candidates. When positions matching your skills become available, you will be notified and given instructions on how to move forward.

Overseas positions are usually available in the following businesses:
Hotels - Resorts - Restaurants - Amusement Parks – Customer Service - Landscaping and Construction Companies.

The following are some examples of positions:
Housekeepers - Food & Beverage Attendants - Laundry Attendants - Cooks - Stewards - Utility Kitchen Helpers - Front Desk Clerks - Landscapers and Construction Workers.

Applicants must be:
-    19 to 50 years old.
-    Willing to participate in a skilled, unskilled or service sector job.

The H-2B Visa Program is divided into two seasons):
